In all of BB’s work, we strive to include women’s voice and ensure that their rights are protected. Even in very conservative areas, our programmes have reached out to women and included them in activities in ways that would be acceptable to local culture. BB work to strengthen women-led initiatives and community organisations led by women – so they can continue to promote women’s rights at grass root level. The importance as rural women are considered to be the agents of change to achieve economic, social and transformational goals set up and owned by them for their communities.
The Organizational Gender Mainstreaming strategy approach that making BB a gender sensitive institution with the gender sensitive organizational culture and policy framework and make all the programmes and projects to be designed, implemented and monitored in a gender sensitive way. Thus, women beneficiaries the main focus of it programme interventions and given an active role in decision-making, have guaranteed rights and are not discriminated at any level.
