Baanhn Beli Computer Centre

baangnbeli_header

Baanhn Beli was the first organization in Tharparkar to introduce Information Technology to the region. Using part of the grant made by President Farooq Leghari during his historic visit to the Nagarparkar Baanhn Beli office in February 1994, our organization opened a Computer Centre at Islamkot in 1995. This led to the unique spectacle of students arriving on camels at the door-step of the Computer centre to take their places before the keyboards ! Re-located to Mithi 3 years later, and continuing to function since then, the Baanhn Beli facility imparts computer literacy to dozens of students every day. Over the past 20 years, the Centre has trained hundreds of boys and girls who have gone on to apply their IT skills for gainful employment and higher education.
